What loveliness is December. The cold winter wind on your skin, the glitter of magical lights gleaming brightly in your eyes, that enchanting feeling your heart senses when your favorite Christmas carols ring throughout the warm rooms of your house(the songs of Frank Sinatra, Perry Como, and Bing Crosby, especially.) That utterly delicious sensation of being wrapped tightly in a wool blanket, a steaming mug of hot chocolate swimming with soft marshmallows warming your hands, while gales of December chill whistle outside. The constant presence of delectable candy canes, sugar cookies, cakes, and Christmas treats that fill your house at this time of the year; certainly December is an excuse to bake and eat. That inimitable beauty of damp streets after a frigid December rain. The appeal of comforting and nerdy Christmas sweaters, stitched with red, green, gold, and white thread. The crisp scent of pine that fills the air that leaves you breathless with contentment. A person could go on endlessly about the small comforts and near-miracles that Christmas brings.
Cathy and I have been swept up in a thrilling wave of Christmas crafts and activities. Baking, gift making, ornament painting, decorating, and of course planning for future adventures has filled our lives to the brim with happiness and exhilaration, as strange as that may sound.
What we look forward to in these upcoming weeks off? A Nutcracker ballet and dinner, a gift workshop, a Christmas tea party, and tamale making. The future looks bright and picturesque.

| A beautiful mail box and house we admired while perusing a garage sale for Christmas tins. |
| We worked at a garage sale in the chilly morning to raise money for our Bio Med Club. |
| Another mans trash is another girls treasure. |
| Our teacher's lovable but...rather "excited" dog. (: |
| Could not walk off of that garage sale without snatching this adorable gem. |
| Creative jar labels that our friend designed and which Catharine and I took delight in. |
| A play scene of gay rabbits having a love affair. Have I mentioned we're obsessed with Brokeback Mountain...? |
| Sometimes we have to be the mothers, we have to cook lunch for our child-friends. I don't mind. |
| Our child-friend. He may not believe it but we adore him...most of the time hehe. |
| A beautiful spoon wall hanging. |
| The fire was a comforting presence. |
| Nectar of the gods in a bottle. |
| Can't wait to watch IASIP Christmas episode again. |
| This... is our life. |
| I found a box beneath my bed one day, filled with these beautiful things and a letter labeled "Nikki" from Catharine. I nearly died from fondness for her. |
| Absolutely delicious. |
| Our friend on a blissful Friday after school. |
| I'm just a girl. |
| Our Christmas tree. |
| Moth wings tear easily. Strange we found this creature so perfect and peaceful on a busy street. |
| Hiding behind bushes and this is what we find. |
| New food obsession? Add it to Diet Coke, popcorn, candy corn, and sunflower seeds. |
| I like the way my street smiles back at me. |
| My favorite from the roll I think. |
